Dwa Design Studio

DWA was founded in Milan in 2005 by Alberto Artesani and Frederik De Wachter. Our work develops through a continuous dialogue between different sensibilities and common interests, research, rigor, and inspiration, adapting the creative process to the various forms of living. We engage transversally with the worlds of design, fashion, and living, ranging from interiors to installations, from retail to art direction, and product research.

We design private and collective spaces where people live, stay, and share. From large to small, from container to content, we give identity to our projects, from concept to final realization, transforming them into creative solutions that resonate with the needs of our clients.

DWA Design Studio has worked for Wallpaper* Magazine, Elle Decor Italia, Salvatore Ferragamo, Rimowa, Atelier Swarovski, Room Mate Hotels, Arpa, Ermenegildo Zegna Group, and other leaders in the design, lifestyle, and fashion industries.

TIDE

By combining the precise scanning of the tides with indefinite imaginative possibilities, Tide by DWA Design Studio mixes the rigour and chaos of colour and geometry with a modular approach that is never the same. Palettes that mingle and mix themselves and blend shades and solid colours; they are composed in a perpetual play, the waving motion of a fantasy in a fluid versatility.

XYZ – 3C

Curiosity and an interest in small gestures are the basis of this exercise which, like a game, explores the aspectand properties of a surface, seen as a space that can be brought to life, designed and sensitized using the mostvaried means and elements. An intertwining created by the repetition and superimposing of segments placedat equal distances becomes a shower of marks whose thickness increases and decreases, the surface come salive and pulsates. This perception of movement is generated by the combination of colours amongst the background - giving three-dimensionality to a flat surface.
